As you might remember, I told you at the first blogpost of this year that you will see more colors on me and here you are. Fuschia and red seem to be the colors of the season. I think this color combination is really interesting especially because those two colors are really strong and when they come together it is really eye catching and fun to try out. Like I said at the last blogpost- I am not afraid to try new things.
So after KAYOMO LAB asked me to pick one of their Kimono jackets from their first collection I was actually reaching for basic colors but they were all sold out so quickly. Then I told myself- now it is time for you to try new colors!! So I decided to pick it in Bold fuschia. When I got it in my hands – I have to admit – it was more than I expected. This kimono came with vintage fabric and an oversize style with its four different belts that allows you multiple ways to wear it. It is such a statement piece, highly functional and can be worn in different styles and the color is really beautiful.
Wearing it with T-shirt and a pair of jeans for casual chic style is also a great idea but it is a bit boring for me. When I want to play with strong colors my look should be strong as well. So I decided to pair it with the black vinyl trouser from Topshop, together with my favourite cozy black turtleneck shirt from FUNKTION SCHNITT for an edgy style. And of course my new red mini cross body bag from CAMELIA ROMA . I am loving the red lately. And they have so many incredible cute bags and prices are also reasonable. To break down those strong colors and to let this outfit look a bit softer I worn my favourite white V-cut pumps from H&M. The color and V-cut form from those pumps made the perfect balance between edgy and feminine.
This kimono is made of breathable fabrics 100% Wool – 100% Silk Lining. It is comfortable to wear in summer and it can be worn in layers to provide warmth in winter.
Ziad Khoury and Alexandre Al Khawam launched their first collection during the London Fashion Week. If you are looking for something new, you defiantly have to check them out. ( you can find their kimonos here )
And what do you think about those colors on me? I would love to hear your thoughts!!
